In every project the choice of the type of greenhouse will be mainly determined on the basis of the required crop, specific cultivation requirements and the geographic location of the intended greenhouse location.
It involves matters such as roof width, type of rafter, ventilation, heating, screening, external light, choice of glass etc.
Frequently applied greenhouse types, each with their own specific options, are the standard Venlo greenhouse, the Widespan greenhouse and the Tunnel greenhouse.
The Venlo type greenhouse was invented in the area of Venlo. This is the reason why we call these greenhouses the Venlo type greenhouses.
In order to obtain a more efficient surface per roof, a Widespan type has been developed. The greenhouse is characterised by its single and high ridge per roof, so it is extremely suitable for internal transport purposes and cultivations where sections per roof are required. The continuous ridge ventilation makes it possible to open the ventilation windows across the entire ridge length.
Apart from the cultivation space, other working spaces are also necessary, such as a processing and packaging hall, dock shelters, offices, canteen, boiler room and water spaces. Briefly, all general and technical and logistical matters that form an essential part of the entire production process.
